Voice acting plays a crucial part for films. Dialogue's for a certain character must be played by a person with a specific voice that fits that character. This is because the amount of emotion in one's voice dictates how well the character is played.
Furthermore, actors often need to pre-record their dialogue instead of stating it in real-time so that the ADR (automated dialogue replacement) director can adjust their voices. Doing this helps emphasize or lessen the action going on in a scene. This happens during Post-Production.
For instance, animated movies take regular actors as voice actors as well because their personality suits the character. This may be found in "The Secret Life Of Pets". The character "Snowball", the bunny, is played by Kevin Heart. Kevin heart's ecstatic personality fits this animal because of their "jumpy" personality. For my opening scene, I will need to cast a voice actor. I am looking for a female that can scream. This is because the female antagonist in my film will mimic the female protagonist's' yell. To do this, they must scream with a terrorizing intent than a scared one, as they will be playing the antagonist.
