In my final cut, the most common lighting that will be present is natural lighting. This is to create a sense of realism. With this, my viewers will feel more intrigued and attentive with the film. Moreover, using natural lighting brings authenticity that artificial lights cannot replicate.

The trees in the forest will also add to the lighting by creating shadows. I will be filming on a gloomy or rainy day. The purpose of this is to generate a suspenseful or eerie mood. The combination of the tree's shadows and the clouds make up this suspenseful aesthetic.

Lighting also directs the audience's focus onto the subject. However, with shadows, the high key lightings turns into low key. Low key lighting creates mystery and a foreboding feeling towards a scene. I want to utilize more lowkey lighting in my film to achieve this effect.

Equally important, lighting defines the genre in a film. For instance, in romance movies, lighting will be soft, warm and dreamy  to give off a romantic affect. In action films, the lighting may have strobe effects and high contrast. The lighting will dictate the atmosphere of a scene too.
