Props help viewers understand where a scene is being shot. They display items that relate to the location. They also enhance storytelling by adding to a character's development that impacts them mentally or physically.
Charlotte will also be holding her dog's' leash. This presents to the audience that she is walking her dog. It also adds to the story as the dog will unclip from it and produce a jingle sound.
Not only do these objects impact the story's development but they create realism. Viewers will understand that my film is not based on fantasy. They will also know that they reveal details to the story later.
Additionally, props can have symbolization too. For instance, a knife may symbolize violence or gore. A suitcase may also represent travel or a journey. Moreover, they set the mood or tone for a scene.
