As my film progresses, the lighting will get darker. This will be achieved through editing. Editing will help enhance the effects and emotional impact that my opening scene produces. For example, adding the extra darkness will produce more fear into my audience because of its horror originality. Not only does editing help light but it also helps character design. I may edit in the alternate (antagonist) behind the trees to add to a scene. From this, my viewers may see and create controversial discussions about my film, increasing interest. Furthermore, developing non-human-like features onto the villain will help show that it is not human. This impact can make my audience more fearful of it. In addition, editing in the credits with a certain type of animation or font can help present the theme of my film so that people understand what genre they will be watching.

Editing may also be utilized to fix issues in my filming process. Furthermore, editing can enhance visual effects or CGI. Many examples of CGI can be found in "Planet of the Apes", "Avengers" or "Ready Player One". These special effects help produce the "action" in action films. On the other hand, it is also used to fabricate scenes that impact the audience's attention. This can be found in the making of cross-cutting shots. Cross cutting is cutting between different scenes of action that are happening at the same time. Editing amplifies the speed of a film as well. This means it has control over how long the shots may be. I will utilize this to make my final cut a little under the time frame requirement.
