Jordan Peele is a famous filmmaker that specializes in the horror genre. Some of his work consists of the movies "GET OUT", "Monkey Man", "Candyman", "NOPE", and "Us". He is also a comedian and American Actor.

A common practice of his is bringing people to the attention of problems in society. The purpose of this is to make clear to the world what real life is like behind media. For instance, his movie "Us" reflects the inequality or division in society that many believe is necessary.

Another common practice you may notice is his challenged antagonists. This means that the "villain" is not only an evil character but an evil idea. Just like what I mentioned previously, these ideas focus on societal issues or systems that take over people.

Not only this, but he includes humor in his work as well. The usage of humor allows his audience to get distracted from the tension, paving the way for a better shock when horror scenes arrive. It takes away the fear for a moment and makes the film memorable.

This information is useful because I may better understand the ways that society acts when no one is looking. For my final cut, I can intertwine his ideas of challenging stereotypes and physiological fear into my film. Moreover, I can blend modern horror with classic horror as Peele does.
