The dog that the main character will be walking holds a strong representation. For instance, it represents loyalty. This may be shown as it runs away, disrupting the innocence and calmness of the first scene.

With the dog away, Charlotte chases after it finding herself in the forest calling its name. This event starts a chain reaction. After this, she meets her alternate.

When Charlotte is face to face with her alternate, she attempts to see what it does when she moves. When she realizes that it copies whatever she does, she calls out for her dog. However, the beginning of the disequilibrium is innovated as the antagonist yells back in a gut-wrenching scream.

This frightens Charlotte, causing her to run away. When she looks back at it to see if it is chasing her, she notices that it stayed still in its position. Although, she keeps running in fear.

Unfortunately, Charlotte trips again and falls, bumping her head. In conclusion, the dog symbolizes the breakdown of events in the story. It represents innocence or a hidden journey that the main character was meant to embark.
