Charlotte is represented as innocence in my final cut. This is because I intend for my final cut to build on with suspense instead of immediately starting with it. First, to make her appear innocent, she will be watching her phone as she walks her dog. My viewers will notice that she is not paying attention to her surroundings. This implies that she does not care about what is going on around her. It presents that she only cares about the video on her phone. This scene proves that she is not in any type of worry or fear. Charlotte is at peace until she trips and loses her dog to the forest. This ignites the first level of the disequilibrium. However, she chases after it surprised and in shock. She was unaware that that would happen. In this scene, she remains innocent because she has not met her doppleganger yet.
When Charlotte chases after her dog, it shows that she has a loyal bond with it. She has been knocked out of her own head space and forced to work her way through the forest to find it. She does not show any fear when going in and calling for her dog. This helps my viewers understand that she has never been in a situation that caused her to be afraid of the forest. This is crucial to her representation as it identifies that she is innocent of dangers that lurk there. The idea of Charlotte being innocent continues to progress my story as well. Her trip may symbolize an obstacle in her journey as in real life. The meeting of her doppleganger can also represent a coming to terms with a deeper side of herself. This means that she is confronting the side of her mind that she may be afraid of.
