My target audience is those who are fans of psychological thriller. Many that are familiar with the "Mandela Catalogue" are aware that the ideas created on this channel are based off of a supernatural reality. They create films that include societal norms. However, they are exaggerated to a terrifying level that produces fear in their audiences. An example of this can be the extension of the government's help for the people in the country. One video from the Mandela Catalogue expresses an old glitchy television screen that appears to be a message sent from the government. It expresses that if a person comes into contact with a doppleganger, they must deal with it themselves as it is too dangerous for other emergency personnel to save them. This relates to my targeted audience because these ideas of isolation, mystery and conspiracy theories are what my film will be about. The main age range of those who are interested in dopplegangers and alternates is mid teens through mid 20's. This is because films related to this theme are age restricted and not meant for young children. The range stops at mid 20's because those who are older do not believe in modern conspiracy theories of today due to the large difference of interest in the separate generations.
To ensure that I gain the correct audience, I will include a sense of paranoia and confusion. This will be shown by the silence during the shots with Charlottes alternate. Paranoia is usually expressed through pressure of staring or silence. My audience will feel this as Charlotte continues to interact with the doppleganger. She will be confused as to why it is mimicking all of her movements, increasing the amount of anxiety as to what it will do next. This will keep my viewers on edge. Furthermore, they will not completely understand the alternate's intentions due to its silence. Another factor is the lack of movement and facial expressions it makes. Although, in one shot; I plan for Charlotte to look away from it for a second and hear it running closer to her. As she looks back up, there it is standing closer. This will inform my audience just that it wants to be closer to Charlotte. This gives enough information to keep my audience hooked on what will happen next but not expect a certain ending.
