Interviewee: Helloo! I am kryscelle Capistrano and I played Charlotte, the main character in another Me.
Interviewer: How talented! First, lets start off with a rundown of what your sequence is about.
Interviewee: Well, in the beginning, a girl, charlotte, is walking her dog Mochi at her neighborhood park when she trips and runs into the forest to find him. Then, she meets this thing that looks exactly like her, a doppleganger.
Interviewer: interesting. and what inspired you to come up with this story?
Interviewee: I watch a lot of horror movies and I've found out that my favorite ones include psychological horror. And that caused me to look for more related items on youtube, so I stumbled upon this channel called the
mandela catalogue where they make these twisted. mind boggling videos and that just stuck out to me!
Interviewer: Could we get a look at what this "Mandela Catalogue" Is?
Interviewer: Whoo-wee! How are you able to watch this by yourself?!
Interviewee: Couldnt say!
Interviewer: Welp moving on to the next question, how does your product engage with the audiences?
Interviewee: I'd say it keeps them on edge with the foreshadowing, body language and suspense.
Interviewer: Could you give us an example?
Interviewee: Of course! At the end when the dopplegunger picks up the necklace, that foreshadows who the main character really is. Charlette or Alternate? We Know charlotte hit her head so...
Interviewer: 000h! So it makes viewers piece together the puzzle?
Interviewee: Thats right!
Interviewer: How about the body language?
Interviewee: A lot of it is stiff and hesitant like when Charlotte stares at the doppleganger without doing anything at first. That allows my audience to understand that she's confused.
Interviewer: So, when there's not much information but enough to generate suspense, the viewers get hooked?
Interviewee: Correct!
Interviewer: Hmm... Could you explain the types of qenre conventions you used?
Interviewee: Some that I chose to use were the forest as it gets darker, the creaking fence, and the crunching of leaves at random points. These all come from the horror or suspenseful action genre. I believe using them created a familiar feel to my final cut and added signs of what it would be about.
Interviewer: Fascinating! How did you integrate that spooky feel onto your characters?
Interviewee: A lot of it comes from utilizing mise-en-scene. I decided to record during a cloudy day where the sun light isn't fully visible so that I could use the natural light in the forest. Its also very important that I recorded a little later so that the sun went down faster, making it darker and darker. I also wanted Charlotte to wear a black hoodie since on her, she seemed like a regular teenager. But when the doppleganger had the same outfit on, it signified a black heart or supernatural beings.
Interviewer: I see! Moving along, how would you distribute this product ds a real media text?
Interviewee: I would lean into trailers, billboard ads, broadcast advertising, and mostly online advertising since I really want to target an audience that's interested or infatuated with conspiracy theories, mystery, supernatural reality and of course, psychological thriller.
Interviewer: Do you know the age range of who would be the most interested in your film?
Interviewee: I'd guess mid teens through mid twenties since, films related to this theme are age restricted and not meant for a younger audience, And, modern conspiracy theories don't usually hit the spot for older ages because they go by a more "see it to believe it" ideology.
Interviewer: You really know your stuff Miss capistrano! That brings us to the end of our time with the
director of "another me." Its out in your local treaters so don't be afraid to drop by!
Interviewee and interviewer: This is every hour on the hour tuning out!
